The European Union (EU) is set to open a call for proposals for WOPs Projects soon. Each project, which will have a period of 36 months, is expected to have a grant of between USD 250,000 to USD 450,000. The Global WOPs Alliance (GWOPA) will oversee this process, channel funds to the projects, provide project support, and lead the monitoring, reporting, and communications of all projects.

The EU-WOP Programme 2021-2024 will have a two-phase selection process. Phase I consists of the submission of the project proposals.  Once accepted the selection will proceed to Phase II where the applicant will provide further details that will substantiate their Phase 1 Application. All proposals must be in English, French, or Spanish. All proposals will be evaluated by the Selected Committee composed of UN-Habitat Officials. All successful proposals will be formalized in the Third Quarter, 2021.
