WaterLinks Participation: 2018 Southern Taiwan Forum on Water Management
WaterLinks was invited to take part in the 2nd Southern Taiwan Forum on Water Management which was held on 30-31 August 2018 in the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The event, sponsored by the Water Resources Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government was a successful platform for the exchange of knowledge, information and experiences among different government, academe, industry and non-government institutions on themes related to urban water management and climate change.
Ms. Yoly Gomez, WOP Facilitator representing WaterLinks, participated in the forum, presenting WaterLinks’ experiences in facilitating WOPs on climate change adaptation to build climate resilient water utilities across Asia and the Pacific. In the ensuing open forum, participants from Taiwan expressed interest in the work that WaterLinks is doing in the Asia and Pacific and it was hoped that WaterLinks be able to help water utilities in Taiwan, especially in coping with climate change impacts, through collaborative efforts.
