USAID facilitated a twinning partnership between Ranhill Utilities Berhad of Malaysia and PDAM Kota Surabaya to ensure that PDAM's 385,000 customers receive continuous water supply. PDAM faces challenges in maintaining continuous water supply in some areas due to inadequate pressure in the distribution network, which it identified as a priority issue to be resolved in order to expand services. Ranhill will assist the PDAM to resolve supply challenges by applying water loss reduction techniques, such as district meter area establishments, network modeling, and leakage detection.
