The foundation for evaluation was completed in Step 9 Activity 9.1. The development of indicators and the selection of methods are best done together so that nothing is forgotten and redundancies are eliminated.

  • Read Key Information 10.1: Why Evaluate?
    An evaluation answers the following questions:

            What change occurred?
            How, when, and with which audiences did the changes occur?
            What aspects of the intervention contributed to these changes?
            What aspects of the intervention should be changed to improve results/management?
            How cost-effective was the intervention?
            How did the results of the intervention compare with results of other similar interventions?

Many of the questions from the original research used to design the promotion program can be applied to the evaluation, with some modifications.
