During the twinning partner identification process, Ranhill Utilities Berhad, based in Malaysia, presented its interest to USAID to assist PDAM Kota Surabaya in overcoming the distribution network pressure challenges. Ranhill is undertaking other partnerships supported by USAID and remains interested in cooperating in a twinning partnership with the PDAM. Since the PDAM and Ranhill have a past linkage, the PDAM has also agreed to work with Ranhill.
