PDAM Develops Change Strategy and Begins Development of Sanitation Promotional Materials

Through the ongoing twinning partnership, two experts from IWK traveled to Medan to work with 30 staff from PDAM Tirtanadi on key steps in implementing a promotion campaign using the USAID ECO-Asia 10-step Water and Sanitation Promotion Toolkit. Both utilities worked on Steps 4-6 of the Toolkit, which are to Detail a Broad Change Strategy, Prepare a Specific Promotion Plan, and Develop Promotional Activities and Materials. PDAM Tirtanadi plans to formally launch the sanitation promotion campaign in August 2009.
