On July 1-3, 2009, two experts from Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) of Malaysia trained civil servants and water utility operators from Medan, Indonesia, on improving access to the sewerage network through a sanitation promotion campaign. This campaign aims to persuade at least 800 people to connect to the sewerage network. IWK provided guidance on Medan’s draft promotion materials and provided training on implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the campaign.
