With USAID support, IWK visited Medan to initiate discussions on twinning topics based on Medan's needs and long term strategies. IWK conducted a field assessment and met with the local working group, representatives of the Medan City Government, water operator, and other stakeholders. At the visit's conclusion, both partners agree to focus on creating a promotion campaign to improve the rate of connections to Medan's existing sewerage system and reviewing its wastewater management plan.
