USAID Having completed a successful water operator partnership under WaterLinks, Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) and Ranhill Utilities of Malaysia initiated a new partnership with the Public Health Department (PHED) of Rajasthan, India aimed at bringing continuous water supply to 50,000 people in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. From 2007-2009 Ranhill partnered with MJP to bring continuous water to over 80,000 people in Maharashtra and MJP now wishes to mentor Indian counterparts, beginning with PHED. During a field visit from April 26-28, 2010, MJP, PHED, and Ranhill developed a joint work plan for replication and formally agreed on a one-year partnership.
