Interested in USAID's activities with the Pune Municipal Corporation on converting intermittent to continuous water supply, MJP approached USAID to discuss possible technical support, especially through a twinning partnership. While MJP had carried out extensive preparatory work in Badlapur for conversion of intermittent to continuous (24/7) water supply, it sought practitioner linkages to enable and sustain the implementation of the supply conversion. MJP's preparatory work included key elements of NRW management programs such as district metering area design and establishment, leakage detection, and water flow and pressure controls.
